Housing
The tribe of Yani had cone-shaped, bark houses that were made of cedar or pine bark leaning against pole framework.

Clothing
In most seasons Yani didn't wear any clothes. In summer, Yani wore a front apronof bark or deer skin.

Food
Acorns meant a lot to the tribe of Yani. Pine nuts, hazel nuts, buckeye, and manzanita berries were favorite gatherings.

Recreation
One of Yani's favorite games was "hoop-and-pole". Yani also enjoyed playing Shinny and Cat's Cradle.

Values
Most tribes in California were small and kept to themselves.
