Housing- The Eastern woodland tribe lived in houses called wigwams.These wigwams where made out of bark and branches. Clothing- In warm weather the men wore breechcloths, but in winter men wore moccasins, leggings,and robes.Women wore skirts in the summer and animal skin wraps in the winter. Food- The Eastern woodland tribe grew corn, squash, and beans. For food, they also hunted deer, rabbit,and beaver. Recreation- The Eastern woodlands had great feasts to celebrate special occasions. Women decorated themself with jewelery and tattooed their faces. Men's long hair would be admired and greased to add luster. The men also plucked hair to form distinctive shapes. Values- The Eastern Woodlands believed all things in their environment were spirits. Also, they believed in the power of dreams and visions and they thought they could overcome great sicknesses. Mothers would ask their children if they had dreams and the dreams were carefully considered. Geography/Location- The people in the Eastern Woodland tribe lived near a lot of things like rivers, lakes, ponds. The eastern woodlands had a different way of life then people today.
